Winter Wonderland Slovenia
Four days of winter adventure, Christmas vibes and exploring beautiful Slovenia with a local guide. We’ll be soaking up snowy mountain scenery, visiting Christmas markets, discovering cute alpine villages, chasing frozen waterfalls, finding cosy bars along the river, enjoying hearty Slovenian food and maybe even some honey schnapps to keep us warm.

Itinerary
Day 1: Festive Ljubljana
After touching down at Ljubljana Airport, your cheeky guide will be ready to welcome you and whisk you straight into the heart of fun-sized Ljubljana. We’ll kick things off with a welcome drink and a relaxed guided walk through the city.
During ‘Happy December’ (as the locals call it), Ljubljana turns into a winter wonderland with Christmas markets, twinkling lights and festive celebrations filling the streets along the Ljubljanica River. After the walk, you’ll have time for lunch and to explore on your own before we regroup and head back out to enjoy more of the Christmas markets and festive atmosphere.
Then it’s time for a group dinner at one of the locals’ favourite Slovenian restaurants with something for everyone. After dinner, we’ll head to our private accommodation to get cosy and call it a night or keep the good times going - your call!
Day 2: Alpine Gems
This morning we’re heading into the Julian Alps and Triglav National Park. Expect Slovenia’s highest peaks, jaw-dropping views, gorgeous lakes and waterfalls. First up is Peričnik Waterfall which can magically freeze over during winter. From there, we’ll check out the source of the Sava Dolinka River before heading to Planica, home to one of the largest ski jumps in the world.
Just a stone’s throw from the Italian border, we’ll make a cheeky little stop into Italy to check out the under-the-radar Lago di Fusine.
After lunch, we’ll head to the alpine village of Kranjska Gora to visit its charming little Christmas markets.
Then it’s back to the accommodation to kick off our Christmas evening - time to bust out those ugly Christmas jumpers!
Day 3: Bleddy Unreal
Today we’ll head to iconic lake Bled. After an orientation of the lake, we'll do a short hike up to a viewpoint where you can take in the fairy-tale lake, island church, mountain backdrop and clifftop castle all in one view.
After lunch there’ll be some free time to explore magical lake Bled at your own pace before heading to Wellness Živa for some spa and sauna time with beautiful views of the lake.
We’ll finish the day with our last dinner together at one of our favourite local restaurants before heading back to the accommodation.

- *Flying from London? We will pick up passengers on EasyJet flight EZY8841 (Gatwick - Ljubljana)
- Tour ends after breakfast on Day 4 with drop off at Ljubljana airport at approx. 10am (ensuring passengers flying back to London on either EasyJet EZY8842 or EZY2502 arrive at airport)
